Maheshwari silk are a community of Vaishnava Banias, originating from the state of Rajasthan in western India. The designs on Maheshwari fabric include floral patterns, stripes, and checks. The pallu of the saree has a reversible border made using gold and silver zari thread sourced from Surat.
